The 2023/2024 school year here at Green Forest is officially underway. We have many returning and familiar faces in the building as well as a whole bunch of new students that we are so excited to have here at the Forest. Twenty-four of those new faces are in our Kindergarten classroom. They are off to a great first day and we are so excited to see them learn and grow throughout the year.
Our first monthly newsletter will go out next week. Just a couple of reminders as we start the year.
1. Please complete and return the free and reduced lunch application at your earliest convenience. This helps us charge students the appropriate amounts as early as possible and is important data that determines a large chunk of our funding from the state.
2. Remember that you can download the Green Forest APP in the apple and android app stores. The app is a great way to stay informed about all things Green Forest. Lunch and breakfast menus can be found there, important events, and we send push notifications through the app for those urgent and important announcements such as a school cancellation due to inclement weather.
3. We have high expectations of our students. We work hard every day. MAP scores from last year will be going home soon and I believe it was another successful year for the Forest. So many positive gains. Our success is reliant upon your support and high expectations for your student in your home. Students benefit the most when home and school work in cooperation.
