We are excited to have our Mustang students back in the building and we are ready for another great year at the Forest. We have received our MAP data from last year and once again our students and teachers knocked it out of the park. We will share more data as the year progresses.
Just a few reminders as we kick off the year.
Please get your back to school forms turned back in as soon as possible. These include the Free/Reduced Lunch application, technology agreement, student pick up form, and the school compact. Free and reduced lunch status carries over from the previous year but only for the first few days. If you believe your student will qualify to receive free and reduced lunches, it is important to get that turned in as soon as possible.
Please be patient with our bus routes and times these first few days. It takes a few days to work out the kinks and get the pickup and drop off times more precise. As a reminder, our buses will not cross high water. There may be times where we cannot get to your bus stop if you live across a low water crossing.
If you do not have a parent portal setup with Teacher Ease but would like one for your student, please email Mr. Prugh at cprugh@gfr2.k12.mo.us. The parent portal allows you to view attendance, grades, lunch account balances, and more.
Lunch account balances can be viewed in your parent portal at all times. To put money onto your students account you may pay by credit card online in Teacher Ease, or bring cash or check to the office. Please note that if you pay with a credit card online there will be a 3% processing fee added to your charge. This is collected by the processing company and is not a fee that we the district is charging nor do we collect any of it.
Nurse Christy will be reaching out to you if your student is not up to date on required immunizations. If your student does not have the required immunizations or exemption documentation by October 2nd, they will not be allowed to attend school until it is completed.
Read, Read, and Read some more. Students succeed when a priority on education exists within the home and we work together. You can have the greatest impact on their achievement by talking to them positively about school and reading with them every night.
Let's have a great year together and as always, Go Mustangs!
