The Mustangs are so lucky to have cafeteria staff that serve not only delicious lunches everyday but also take the extra time to prepare fresh, healthy snacks that are just as good to look at as eat!


Don’t forget that tomorrow’s spirit day is a hat day. See you all in your favorite hat.

Today was a great day of melting. So much so that we will be in school tomorrow, February 3rd. There are still a handful of families that our bus will not be able to get to. If you are one of those families your bus driver will be reaching out to you to discuss an alternative pickup and drop off location for tomorrow.

Due to dangerous road conditions there will be no school on Thursday, February 2nd. There were some signs of melting today, unfortunately it just wasn’t enough. Tomorrows weather looks promising for much more melting.




Due to dangerous road conditions, there will be no school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 1st. Many roads south of the school are completely covered and still really slick. One of the pictures is a gravel road, one is chip and seal, and one is pavement for major roads on different routes. Hopefully we get some major melting tomorrow. Stay warm and stay safe.




There will be no school at Green Forest tomorrow January 31st due to hazardous road conditions.

Next week February 6-10th will be a spirit week to celebrate kindness and counselors week. See the attached photos for information on each day.

Third graders started a weekly agriculture education program today led by students from the Salem FFA program.


School will be in session tomorrow, January 27th.

All after-school events for today have been cancelled due to possible inclement weather. This includes volleyball practice and tutoring.

Reminder: There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Mrs. Keith’s third graders have been working on writing summaries. Today, they completed summaries independently and made Thunder Cake to celebrate! First, Mustangs work hard then we play hard.



Jr. High students in our new Agriculture elective will be utilizing the Green Forest Learning Gardens. However, a little work to clean it up and get it ready is required.


Former Mustangs Gunnar Konkel, Gunner Mahurin, and Henry Cameron greeted our students as they got off the bus this morning before their High school basketball game tonight. Once a Mustang, Always a Mustang.
